Family Vaca 2012

We finally made it back to Hawaii after 30+ years since leaving.  In May my parents and siblings all eventually made it Honolulu.  We stayed at Turtle Bay Condo near the North Shore.  The first day we went to the beach in the afternoon and had the entire beach to ourselves.  I tried snorkeling for the first time...and yes it was used snorkeling gear....I figured it may be my only chance so I sucked it up and put the gear on.

My cute little nephew came running up right between my brother and I as we were walking back up the beach after a round of snorkeling right as my mom snapped the picture....never would have know as it looks pretty natural.  My niece...yeah she thinks she's in charge....loved playing in the sand with the toys and the occasional dipping of her toes in the water.

Yep, that's my niece all decked out and ready to roll....my mom found some goggles in one of the bags and put them on little A to wear.  She loved those goggles so much she just wore them the entire time we were at Hanama Bay.  She didn't want to get in the water to actually use them, just wanted to wear them....maybe she was trying to make fashion statement.
At Shark's Cove my nephew found a little crab in the sand so he picked it up and carried it around with him.  He was holding it up so his dad could take a picture of his treasure.  He was sad when we had to go and he had to let it go.

Beach time couldn't last forever so we took them to the pool at the condos for a little dip.
