Attended church not quite sure of which city we were in, but it was a nice ward building, my mom played piano for sacrament meeting since no one knew how to play. Everyone was very nice and welcomed us, of course in Spanish, but very hospitable.
I was waiting to see a large iguana, but never saw a mammoth one, but I did see these every morning on the way to breakfast. You had to watch out for the fresh iguana poo as they apparently like to do their "business" on the walkways.
Today was super hot and humid again with little shade and no breeze led to me wondering why more people didn't have heat stroke here. The ruins were fantastic and Russ was our tour guide as they had toured Tulum previously when they had visited. From an LDS perspective it was very interesting and evidence of the BofM civilizations.
If you look closely it looks like my parental unit has a Darth Vadar helmet on.
By the time we got down to the water front and had barely dipped our toes in the water the lifeguard called us all in saying it was closing time. The kids were not thrilled about that since they really just dealt with the ruins because they knew the water was going to be the reward. Instead their reward was a dip in the pool, while we made curry for dinner.
And another night of sitting out on the beach to look for turtles....still nothing.
