Kids

Toon Town....Will takes another stab at driving.....

Ava at the center of town...

At the Disney Hotel as we were waiting for breakfast we snapped a few shots of the kids.

Ava's face is great....exactly what she pulls when she is trying to sneak a cookie or two!

Knock, knock....Alice in Wonderland's tiny door.

In Downtown Disney we were walking around and Will went and stood over by this picture and said, "Hey, guys take my picture!"  Funny boy!

Ava's parent better watch out...found her solider!

One of the pics they took of Ava after her Bibbity Bobbity Boutique visit.  She got a private session with some of the Disney Princess and a photo shoot.
 Inside the Toy Story ride.

Ava loved the mirror, should just get her one of those and save the money.

Until next time Disney..........

California Adventure

We hit Cars Land first thing.  The kids loved the Mater ride. Between my sister and myself we would switch off which kid we would ride with.  If I rode with W I could always hear A's laughter.
I don't really understand the Luigi ride, I get the concept, but even when I packed on an additional 10 pounds this year, I couldn't swing my weight around to really get this tire moving in the correct directions.  The kids love it though.
Since I have an incredible fear of heights I had to opt out of the Ferris Wheel.  They like to ride in the one that swings as well and I would probably have a anxiety attack just standing in line and have panic attacks that the cart we were in was going to go off the track and right into the water, hurling us to our death.....hence I watch from below.  The kids would yell Hi to me from up above.  I think W even said when they came running down....."see Leesa we were safe, we didn't die." Glad they just except me for who I am.....
W was practicing his "statue" poses......Not sure of his pose, but he did pretty well as a statue...
Bug's life ride......nothing like swingin' around in a used food container.  A figured out this year about the raising of the hands on rides....Pretty hilarious to ride with her.
Bumper cars......watch out world in about 7-10 years....hopefully they will get better by then..
Ever since the fire this past summer at my sister's home the kids have been a little traumatized, especially W.  He is on the autistic spectrum so it's been more of hurdle for him to get over.  He told us that he was going to be brave and he was going to ride the Tower of Terror!  We tried bribing him in previous years and he said no.  But he said he would try it this time cause the it couldn't be scarier than the fire.  I am a wimp and I refused so I sat and waited with A.  As you can see by his face, he wasn't too thrilled, but he was trying it and he was a brave boy!

I guess his face says it all!  I asked him when he got off how he liked it and he said, "I survived, but I don't think I want to go on it again.  I was a brave boy though!"  I told him yes he was, much braver than his 30 something year old aunt!
A though has no fear....she rode the Tower of Terror and lived it and kept saying I want to go again!  I guess W is more my style ride partner.

A really wanted to ride the big roller coaster at California Adventure, but she was about 1- 2 inches too short....she was crying so hard we had to walk her up to the measuring stick to show her, she was crying the entire time saying she wanted to ride it.  Which was kind of ironic cause there was a little boy next to use being measured and he was crying saying he didn't want to go......Guess there will be another trip when she gets a little taller.

We ended the night at the World of Color.  A really loved it this year, W sat in the stroller and played on the phone.  He was tired and wanted to go back to the hotel.  He would pop up every once in awhile to watch when he heard something interesting.  The kids were troopers, would we get up and get there when the park opened and would stay until the park closed, getting in as many rides as we could before the park closed. One of the funniest trips!

Bibbity Bobbity Boutique

My sister has always wanted to do this with her girls, so this trip we made it happen.  A was loving it.....she got to pick which dress and then they did their magic.....she had so much glitter that she was shedding it everywhere we went.

A had seen another little girl that was Tinker Bell so I think that is semi-what swayed her decision over some of the other choices.  But she loved being catered to and getting all dressed up and then being treated like a princess for a few hours.

She even got to meet some of the princesses one on one, and have her picture taken in Cinderella's coach!

They took her a few different places to take pics, she was in heaven.  I guess, maybe I'll have to save money so the the next little one can experience it as well.....unless she turns out like her aunt and just says no to the glitter and dresses......................

Disneyland 2014

Like the before post said, I had let the kids pick anywhere they wanted to go.  Since we had been to Disneyland before in the summer, during Halloween, they wanted to go and see the Winter theme at Disneyland.  Although, now they think that we need to go for every holiday, so they said Valentines day is the next time we need to go.......

The first day we hit up Disneyland....and of course the first ride was in Fantasy Land.  Both kids love the carousel....I guess so does the mommy.....wonder where the kids get the camera shyness from???

Next the Tea Cups, W is getting pretty strong, he can spin it now on his own.  Although, maybe I'm getting too old for the spinning....Another favorite of theirs....so rode this many, many, many times......BUT they are cute so how can you say no?

They tried their hand at the Sword in the Stone......

They LOVED Star Tours....W was even the spy!  He thought that was pretty cool. Ava wasn't so sure of it at first, but she thought the ride was hilarious!
The kids also love this Jumping Jelly Fish ride, which just bobs up and down, but I'm pretty scared of heights so I have to sit all the way back and grip the hand rails....I can only look straight ahead, never down.....my sister tried to take a pic, but I wouldn't look down....I have the terrified fake face going on, and telling W to sit back and not to shake the chair......the sacrifices that I make....I can only do so much in one day before my system starts shutting down....and I need to go sit in a nice quiet place on the ground.
At night the I have no idea what the ride is actually called the kids just call it the rocket ship...all it does is go in a circle.....A loves it...that is her face most of the time for all the rides as she screams....
Went over to Toon Town to see if we could catch some of the characters....did see too many of them around this time....A had her list in her head of everyone that we needed to see and would check them off one by one after we got a picture....
Hopefully, she forgets, but we never got to see Micky Mouse and both her mother and myself said, "We will see Mickey, don't worry about it, if we don't I'll bring you back again another time." Crap, I hope she forgets!

Siblings, got to love that they make the sacrifices that they do for each other....after a while, W finally said, "could you get her off, she is heavy."  Siblings also tell you the truth.......

Day 1 complete!

On our way to Disneylandy

I told my sister's kids that I would take them each on a trip to anywhere they wanted to go.....yes, I am lucky that they still have limited views of fun places to go.  These two decided they wanted to go to Disneyland so I took them together.

We drove so we stayed the night in Vegas and of course had to swing by the M&M store and get some goodies!

Found out the the lights in the casino's is too much of a draw for the little girl with the innocent face....if we didn't have a hold of her hand she was trying to go over and push the buttons and pull the handles...she kept saying it was so pretty......must have gotten that from her mamma....anything that is bright and flashy she is drawn to.

Guess the morning in Vegas was too much for them...they were passed out in the backseat probably before we even left the Nevada border!  Just resting up for the next day!

Pretty sure they were dreaming of this........

Zoo with the Kids

Took the kiddos to the Zoo.  This was W's pose for getting a drink out of the Lion's mouth....He thought he as hilarious!

This is the kids favorite thing play around.  It's a big elephant that plays music and occasionally spits out water.

I think we have a couple of monkeys is the family.....they measure up pretty well.......

Ended the day with a train ride....my sister's kids are not camera shy......

Always a fun day skipping out of work to hang out with kids at the zoo!
